Queues at the entrance usually form during concerts. This is because most visitors arrive just before the performances begin. However, the Club is usually open an hour before the concert. Admittedly, it often happens that the auditorium is still closed due to rehearsals, but the bar area is open for you. A similar situation occurs at parties, when most of you arrive just before 10 pm, whilst the Club is open from 9 pm.
We suggest arriving early because:
During events held at Klub Parlament, a door policy applies.
Minors and those under the influence of alcohol are strictly prohibited from entering. The doorman may also refuse entry to the event to anyone whose appearance or behaviour is not in keeping with the Club’s image. Due to the pandemic situation and current restrictions: Only those who present a valid EU Covid-19 Certificate or sign a declaration at the entrance will be admitted to the club.
At the Parlament Music Club, payment must be made using an in-house pre-paid card or a credit card. Rules for using the pre-paid card.
We suggest arriving early because:
At the Parlament club, the cloakroom is compulsory. This is not because we want to make extra money, but for safety reasons. When your coats, rucksacks, etc. are left in the cloakroom, we can be sure they are safe. Surely everyone would prefer to have their belongings looked after by a friendly cloakroom attendant rather than an overzealous thief who, by some strange chance, happens to be nearby. Besides, by leaving your clothes in the cloakroom, the risk of some unruly guest bringing in dangerous items, their own alcohol, etc. is reduced to a minimum (which is strictly forbidden and may result in immediate expulsion from the club).
This is a question you often ask at parties, and the only answer you’ll hear in this case is: “unfortunately not”.
Here are a few reasons why we do this.
Very often, you look surprised when asked this question. However, having a valid ID card or another document (only a driving licence or student ID) is necessary to gain unhindered access to events held at Parlament. We make every effort to ensure that only those aged 18 or over attend the events. We are not convinced by excuses such as “he’s a friend from our group, he just forgot his ID”, or “come on, don’t I look 19?…” The only effective and reliable way to verify your age is with an ID card, so whenever you come to Parliament, bring it with you to avoid any unpleasant surprises.
Your safety is our absolute priority. That is why all staff have undergone appropriate health and safety and fire safety training. The Club’s architecture and fittings are designed so that, in the event of any threat, the danger can be minimised or completely averted, and an evacuation can be carried out efficiently if necessary. The fact that Parlament is the safest club in the Tri-City is determined by, amongst other things:
